ABOUT
Amelia Quek (b. 1999, Singapore) is currently pursuing a BA in Fine Art at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), validated by the University of Arts London (UAL). Her recent group exhibitions include the NAFA x UAL Exhibition (2026) at UAL Chelsea, Art for the Senses (2025) and Between Matter and Memory (2025) at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and Proximities (2025) at the Singapore Photographic Society.
Her work interrogates the visceral qualities of being and the body through the lens of the abject. Working across installation, sculpture and performance, her practice toes the line between the sacred and comic, familiar and monstrous, and intends to capture the animal odours, the exhalations, the raucous laughter, and subtle gut churnings of the human being.
