ABOUT

Amelia Quek (b. 1999, Singapore) is currently pursuing a BA in Fine Art at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), validated by the University of Arts London (UAL). Her recent group exhibitions include the NAFA x UAL Exhibition (2026) at UAL Chelsea, as well as Art for the Senses (2025) and Between Matter and Memory (2025) at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.​

Her practice tends towards elements of the abject and grotesque, and explores the visceral qualities of being and the body. Through a blend of sculpture and performance, her work toes the line between the sacred and comic, familiar and monstrous, and attempts to capture the animal odours, the exhalations, the raucous laughter, and subtle gut churnings of the human being.
